NEW BRIGG HOMES 'CANNOT COME SOON ENOUGH' SAYS RAIL CAMPAIGNER

As Brigg Blog has suggested, plans to build new houses on the old railway station approach and yard area, on Station Road, will be a main talking point and important topic during 2017.
Rail Campaigner Paul Johnson agrees with our New Year assessment. And in his latest review of passenger services and stations along the Brigg line, he mentions the house-building scheme, shortly to be ruled upon by North Lincolnshire Council planners.
Paul, pictured at Brigg station, says: "After a brief spell of a pleasant environment in the station area at Brigg, normality has returned with flytipping and graffiti in the area. The redevelopment of the station area cannot come soon enough."

Passenger trains will be running along the Brigg line again tomorrow, Saturday, if you fancy a trip to Sheffield, Retford, Gainsborough, Grimsby or Scunthorpe.
