During wet and frosty weather, those on the paths are a potential slipping hazard for pedestrians. They also tend to clog up drainage gulleys and manholes.
We took these pictures yesterday morning at the top of St Helen's Road, near the junction with Bigby Road - the A1084.
During rainy periods, a good deal of water tends to collect at this point and the abundance of rotting leaves can only add to the problem.
