BRIGG FOOTBALLERS CHASING PROMOTION

Briggensians FC occupy second spot in division three of the T.S.W. Printers Scunthorpe & District Football League after winning well yesterday.
The promotion-chasing Brigg team enjoyed a 5-1 home victory over Epworth Town Colts Blues at Sir John Nelthorpe School.
Sol Hari scored twice, with the other goals coming from Stuart Briscoe, Neil Gallafent and Steve Jordan.
Briggensians are four points behind leaders Barnetby United Reserves but have two games in hand on the villagers.
Barnetby Reserves were beaten 6-4 yesterday by AFC Blades in the second round of the Johnsons Transport Ironstone Cup.
Shaun Clark scored twice for Barnetby - having started the match in goal! Also on the mark were  James Hannibus and Ben Lock.
In division one yesterday, Barnetby United lost 5-3 to Crowle Town Colts. 
Barnetby's goals came from Joe Scott, Will Forest and Dan Greaves.
