STAND-BY ELECTRICITY GENERATION BOOST FOR BRIGG AREA

North Lincolnshire Council has raised no objections to additional power plant being installed in the Brigg area.
A Certificate of Lawfulness (proposed use or development) has now been granted for an electricity substation on Kettleby Lane, Wrawby.
The successful applicant was UK Energy Reserve, based in the West Midlands.
The application mentions "a small scale standby electricity generation plant at a former sub-station site."
The development consists of a maximum  of 10 generators to produce standby electricity generation for the National Grid.
UK Energey Reserve told North Lincolnshire Council planners: "The Proposed Development Site is situated in excess of 90m north from the nearest residential properties on Kettleby Road.
"It is not  anticipated that the Proposed Development would have any significant impact on this property or any other residential property in the vicinity.
"This type of power generating plant is known as ‘embedded generation’ and falls within the Governments 2007 Energy White Paper on future energy policy to encourage green and carbon efficient distributed power."
