ANCHOLME HEAD 2016 - BRIGG BLOG'S FIRST BATCH OF PICTURES
Brigg Blog's first batch of pictures from the Ancholme Head 2016 event, staged by Ancholme Rowing Club which is based on Manley Gardens, off Bridge Street. There were two races along the River Ancholme on Sunday, October 8, from Broughton Bridge.
A rower has one oar: a sculler uses two oars...most of the pics show scullers. One can have one sculler in a boat, but one rower would mean he/she would just turn in a circle. Tricky this rowing thing....I'd rather stick to sailing....
