BRIGG TOWN COUNCIL'S CIVIC AWARD PRESENTATIONS 2016


Brigg Town Council’s Civic Award Presentations were made during the Town Mayor’s Appeal Coffee Morning.
The raffle/tombola fundraising had many and varied prizes and the cash generated will benefit Brigg LIVES First Responders, the Royal Artillery Association and the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
These worthy causes have been chosen by Town Mayor Coun Ann Eardley to benefit during her 12 months as the community's first citzen.
She opened proceedings in the Angel Suite by thanking Brigg Garden Centre for jointly sponsoring the best-kept garden and prize allotment competitions, together with Brigg Town Council.
Coun Eardley was assisted during the presentation stage of theceremony by Town Clerk Claire Davis and Deputy Town Clerk Alison Hannath.
Angel Suite manager Karen Deeley served many, many cups of coffee to visitors, accompanied by delicious slices of cake.
Deputy Town Mayor Coun Sharon Riggall was central to the smooth-running of the raffle/tombola fundraising, with other councillors there to support the event..
Members of the public attended the coffee morning, together with those who were collecting trophies and members of their families.
