BRIGG RAILWAY LINE ON TRACK TO ACHIEVE 1,000 TRAVELLERS

The Brigg station area has now been cleared of all rubbish and fly-tipping.
North Lincolnshire Council has now locked its side of the gate (see picture below).
The council has produced some drawings of the redevelopment planned for the station area.
Early feedback from locals is that this looks wonderful and will bring much-needed regeneration to this part of Brigg.
All eyes are now on Network Rail as after building a £400,000 non-ramp footbridge, they will have to get their skates on with a ramp design, as once the new buildings are there they would have to crane the ramps over the buildings into place - at great cost.
Passenger numbers fell at an alarming rate in the first period of 2016 due to ticketing issues.
However, due to the hard work of GRaB through promotion, we seem to have recovered and we are now at around 750 passengers for the year.
The reduction in fares on the Brigg Line (from Saturday) will help. So hopefully we will hit the 1,000 mark  achieved last year.
