ARE YOU CLASSED AS OLD AT 60 IF YOU LIVE IN BRIGG?

How old do you have to be in Brigg to be classed as old?
We are finding this quite confusing.
Some local eateries we notice have meal deals for those who turn 60.
If you go to a local doctors' surgery to pick up a regular prescription, when you get to 60 that's  free.
It also appears that 60 is also the national benchmark for free eye tests.
However, if you've just turned 60 you will have to wait until you're 66 before seeing your old age pension (not 65 - they've raised the bar or moved the goalposts).
At 60 you can opt to pay £30 for a Senior Railcard and save one-third on all Standard and First Class, Anytime, Off-Peak and Advance fares.
However, if you live in North Lincolnshire you can't get your bus pass (concessionary travel card) at 60.
Yet if you reside in England's capital city, you can travel free on buses, the underground and other transport when you’re 60, but only within London.
If you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, bus passes are also issued at 60.
With that in mind, does it seem fair that Brigg folk turning 60 still have to pay full fare?

Our picture shows what we call the shoppers' bus on Yarborough Road, Brigg. It tours town housing estates and is used by many pensioners to visit the town centre and do their shopping.
