North Lincolnshire Council has now approved a £7,500 grant to Brigg Town Cricket Club towards the cost of equipment to use for maintenance and playing the sport at the Recreation Ground, off Wrawby Road.
The application for a community grant  was approved at cabinet level.
The total cost of "Facilities Redevelopment" was put at £8,362 in a council report, the club having allocated £836 to the cause.
Brigg Town Cricket Club plays in division four of the Lincolnshire County Cricket League, sponsored by Readers.
Currently, home games are being staged at the Brocklesby Park ground.
However, the club is seeking to return to Brigg Recreation Ground during 2017.
