Brigg Bike Night 2015 |
The event will be held in Bridge Street, between the A18 and the County Bridge.
The fun starts at 5pm and should go on for four or five hours.
Motorcyclists will be bringing their machines - old and not so old - to town, as will scooter owners.
Lucy Fensome, landlady of the Yarborough Hunt, on Bridge Street, is central to the organisation of this event, which made a welcome comeback during 2015.
There will be a band playing live at the pub, with plenty of on-street activity, including ice creams and food available.
We haven't owned or ridden a motorbike since 1978, but that doesn't mean that we've lost interest in two-wheel transport. We'll be looking out for British-made BSAs, Triumphs and Nortons.
By the 1970s, of course, the so-called Japanese invasion was well under way, involving renowned makes like Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda.
If we do get some showers during Brigg Bike Night, folk will be seeking cover inside the Yarborough Hunt and other Bridge Street hostelries the Nelthorpe Arms and the White Hart.
