BRIGG ROADWORKS: 2 FOR THE PRICE OF 1

When we walked the full length of Bridge Street, Brigg, on Monday morning to view the roadworks after the water had been cut off for a time for previous evening, we paused to view a small hole in the grass verge, cordoned off, accompanied by National Grid sign, warning people not to smoke in the vicinity. Location: Close to what most of us still call Earnshaw's woodyard. As yet no sign of roadworks.
On the other side of Cake Mills Bridge we then encountered a set roadworks at the top of the entrance to the Water's Edge housing estate, where the water supply problems had been identified. Temporary traffic lights were in place here on Monday morning.
Clearly, all that really matters to motorists is whether they are being held up.
