BRIGG CRICKETERS WIN AGAIN

Brigg Town Cricket Club occupies top spot in division four of the Lincolnshire County Cricket League, sponsored by Readers.
Brigg enjoyed a comfortable home win over Louth 3rds yesterday (Saturday, May 21).
Town were bowled out for 144 with two overs remaining of their permitted 45, David Baggott scoring 34 and Mark Dawson 31.
Louth were then dismissed for 69 in 31 overs, Nick Beacock and Phil Dewfall both taking three wickets as Brigg enjoyed another maximum 20-point haul.
Having played five league fixtures in a programme of 18, Town lead Gainsborough team Marshalls by one point at the top.
A "two up, two down" system of promotion and relegation usually applies in the Lincolnshire League.
