CYCLING TEAM FROM BRIGG TO TAKE PART IN 100-MILE RIDE

FROM ANDREW MAJOR, MANAGING DIRECTOR, THOMAS BELL & SONS LTD, BIGBY ROAD, BRIGG

The Thomas Bell Cycling Team will be taking part in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 mile bike ride on Sunday 31st July 2016 and will be raising monies for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Team members are Andrew Major, Matt Dawson, Simon Sands and Gavin Yule.
Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it's a truly spectacular event for all involved. Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 finishes on The Mall in central London, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on a similar route.
Pancreatic cancer is the fifth deadliest cancer in the UK and every day, 24 people lose their battle with the disease.  The majority of patients will only have survived 3-6 months since diagnosis.
Currently, only 3% of patients will survive the disease due to late diagnosis and lack of effective treatments.  This is why raising awareness of the disease and its symptoms is absolutely vital to drive earlier diagnosis and ultimately increase a patient’s chance of survival.
We are dedicated to raise awareness of this terrible disease through our fundraising efforts. Please show your support for Pancreatic Cancer UK and to Thomas Bell and pledge your sponsorship today.  Use the link below...
