Hands up who remembers Jack Clark's tuck shop serving Brigg Grammar School?
It was opposite what's been Sir John Nelthorpe Comprehensive's Upper School since 1976.
Finally, we now have another tuck shop, though they spell this one without the 'c'.
Candy Creations Tuk Shop has opened in College Yard, which links Wrawby Street with Old Courts Road and the town's main car park.
So plenty of passing trade for the new sweetie emporium. We will be interested to see whether many SJN pupils pay it a visit.
Just about everyone being educated at the grammar school went to Jack Clark's shop during the mid-morning break. The orderly queue was 'policed' by school prefects.
What was Jack's shop was converted to a dwelling house some years ago, having latterly housed a newsagent's.
