AWAITING DETAILS OF BRIGG 'MIXED RETAIL' PLANS

Brigg Town Council's Planning & Environment Committee could not consider a planning application for a prominent location in the town because full details had not been made available by North Lincolnshire Council, the planning authority.
Paper documentation was phased our by the North Lincolnshire authority in favour of scanning in all the supporting documents and posting them on a website known as the planning portal.
This generally works pretty well, but during Monday night's committee meeting in the Angel Suite Lounge it was explained that the system was undergoing an upgrade, resulting in some issues in posting information online.
So the application for change of use from mixed warehouse, office and car sales to mixed retail,  warehouse, offices and car sales, including partial demolition, at 2 Ancholme Way (the former Trent Foods site) will now be considered by Brigg councillors in a few weeks.
North Lincolnshire Council is expected to extend the period of public consultation.
