Litany: A tedious recital or repetitive series.
So Brigg Blog's apologies for returning to a litter-related topic.
Take a walk down Bigby Street as we did on New Year’s Day, and you will encounter three litter bins in quick succession – two out of action and one fit for purpose.
The one that is open for business is near The Monument, close to the car showroom (pictured above).
The others (below) are outside the pizza house and close to the zebra crossing.
The bin near the Monument is sizeable and can take plenty of discarded litter donated by the passing public.
But if there are no plans to put bins back in the other two locations, isn’t it time the clip-fasteners were removed from their supports?
If two new bins ARE coming, could it be done soon?
This loose end on someone's list has remained unresolved for some time. We flagged it up a good many weeks ago.
Hopefully this will prove to be the last post on this topic.

We must also bear in mind whether the litter bins are big enough to suit the expected type of rubbish.
ReplyDeleteFor example, are the bins big enough to accept a used pizza box....and why haven't the litter bins in Brigg go a plate for smokers to snub out their dog-ends.
I've heard official complain about the number of cig butts left lying on the ground near litter bins....that to me would indicate smokers probably want to dispose of the tabs properly, but any sensible smoker would not want to flick a lit tab into a bin full of combustibles.
