BRIGG SPRINT TRIATHLON ON WATCH ON SUNDAY

 

Many Brigg people will be thinking of going along to watch the cycling and running sections of a major event in the town on Sunday.
The Keyo Brigg Sprint Triathlon will be held on September 27. As ever, the event will be run by Lincsquad and comprises a 400m pool swim at  Ancholme Leisure Centre,  followed by a 20km  cycle ride and then a 5km road run.
The cycling section will take the riders out to Hibaldstow and Redbourne, but they will also go through Brigg as far as the A18 Ancholme Way roundabout, near Tesco, and return along Bridge Street.
The running section will take competitors from Ancholme Leisure Centre, down Bridge Street and along Elwes Street towards Cadney. They will return along the same route.
The last of the runners is expected back at the Leisure Centre about 11.30am - following which the awards will be presented.
So if you want to watch some of the action in Brigg, we suggest getting to the town centre between 10am and 11.15am.
