BRIGG FOOTBALLERS BEATEN IN CUP

Brigg-based Briggensians FC lost yesterday in one of the cup competitions run by the T.S.W. Printers Scunthorpe & District Football League.
In a first round tie in the Johnstone Insurance Nursing Cup, division three side Briggensians lost 4-0 on their visit to division two team Crowle Town Colts.
There's another cup-tie coming up for the Brigg lads on Saturday, September 26 - again away from home.
In the second round of the E C Surfacing Ltd Sporting Shield they will journey to Midtown United (KO 2.30pm).
Some of us are looking forward to a home game we can go and watch at Sir John Nelthorpe School.
