- Erect a single-storey rear extension, a two-storey side extension and single-storey link extension between house and outbuilding, St. Gerrards, Lindum Crescent, off Colton Street.
- Advertisement consent to display one retrospective fascia sign, 3A Queen Street, (NFU Mutual). (The redeveloped former Coleman's restaurant building).
- Notification of proposed work to fell 3 trees within Brigg Conservation Area, 3 Manor House Convent, Bigby Street.
Deputy Town Mayor Coun Ann Eardley did not see the planned extension in Lindum Crescent affecting anyone.
Coun Luke Sherwood said the NFU sign was similar to a Co-op one nearby, while Coun Jane Kitching commented that one of the trees off Bigby Street, a birch, was causing damage to a wall.
All this fuss about the green + yellow NFU signs....Is someone being a little pompous....go thro' the Peak District..a National Park....and such corporate signs are seen in many of the towns in the area.....
ReplyDeleteThe World is not Brigg....
A similar thing happened to the mauve Coop Funeral parlour sign.....such signs are part of the respective corporate image....they are used nationally and to me, it does seem to me an unnecessary expense and time consuming for such organisations to have to apply to NLC for approval to display such.
ReplyDeleteDid Tesco, Wilco's, Lidl et al have to apply separately for their corporate signs?
Perhaps there is a need to reduce the red tape in such cases....
