10am to 12noon - Controlling the Waters of 'Ankhams (R. Ancholme) oozy flood' (Stukeley 1724) - Meet at Ferriby Sluice Car Park, South Ferriby DN18 6JQ. Short walk to discover the history of the canalisation of the River Ancholme, of Ferriby Sluice, which controls the flow of drainage waters from Lincoln to the Humber and a short drive to Horkstow suspension bridge.
