We are reliably informed that the 12.03 Sheffield
Midland to Cleethorpes train and the 15.20 Cleethorpes to Sheffield Midland will comprise a larger 150 diesel unit this Saturday (July 11) "to cope with families and Sheffield United fans travelling to
Brigg."
Brigg Town will be hosting a Sheffield United XI at The Hawthorns, kick-off 3pm.
The Zebras have posted an informative two-part match preview on their website. View the first instalment through this link.
This is an attractive pre-season fixture for Brigg Town FC against The Blades - another club which can trace its history back to Queen Victoria's reign.
We suppose one big question is whether new Sheffield United manager Nigel Adkins - so popular when he was boss of Scunthorpe United - will be attending the game.
Fingers crossed if you have a young autograph collector in the family!
I assume that the 15.20pm train from Cleethorpes is the same train as the 12.03 stopping at Brigg from Sheffield.....
ReplyDeleteAm I missing some logic somewhere?
For example, the fans arrive in capacious roomy carriages.....but the same luxury puff-puff stops at Brigg 20 minutes after kick-off!
Are we assuming the Brigg TFC thrash SU within the first few minutes and the Sheffield fans swarm out the Hawthorns minutes after kick-off!
