BUZZARD SPOTTED IN BRIGG

PICTURES AND REPORT BY KEN HARRISON

Buzzing Brigg over the fields along Cadney Road during recent days is a buzzard.
Local ornithological twitcher, Len Reaney, said that buzzards should now become a fairly common sight over Brigg as the birds' population grows and buzzards re-populate the wo odlands around Lincolnshire.
They have a varied diets, from insects to small mammals and are regarded as medium-sized birds of prey.

The Rev Alec Depledge had spotted a buzzard resting in branches of a tree behind his house in in the Pingley area some weeks ago and pondered whether it is the same bird.
