BRIGG CHURCH HALL IMPROVEMENTS PLANNED

Brigg Town Council is considering an application for a cash grant to help with improvements to St John's Church Hall, in Bigby Street.
When the request was considered last night at a meeting of the Policy Committee in the Angel Suite, Coun Mike Campion suggested £250 to help towards a new oven for the kitchen.
Coun Rob Waltham wondered whether it might be possible to consider giving more than that. He felt the hall - a well-used venue - looked dated.
Coun Carl Sherwood agreed, saying the Town Council might find itself underspent in other areas of the budget.
It was agreed to defer making a decision until a monthly meeting of the Town Council, pending further information being made available to councillors.
