Brigg Blog captured the above picture of a swan in full flight while we were on Cadney Road this afternoon (Thursday). We heard a flapping of wings and watched the bird take off. The Old River Ancholme became the bird equivalent of a runway as it got up speed for take off (see pictures below).
This just goes to show that you don't have to pay a small fortune and travel abroad to enjoy one of Mother Nature's free spectacles!
