Once you have visited as many tearooms as you can, cast your vote on your favourite cake to win. Everyone that votes will be entered into a free prize draw to win afternoon tea for two at the winning tearoom.
If eating all of this cake gives you inspiration to do some baking at home there are some scrumptious easy to follow recipes included in the leaflet, including a gluten free chocolate and pear cake!
Last year’s Teapot Trail was a great success with lots of people trying out the tearooms. The Great North Lincolnshire Cake-Off winner 2014 was The Ropery Coffee Shop in Barton; their delicious carrot cake was chosen as the public’s favourite.
Margaret Price, Senior Tourism and Event Management Officer at North Lincolnshire Council, said: “Last year’s Teapot Trail was really successful with lots of people taking part and voting for their favourite cake. We have some wonderful tearooms in North Lincolnshire and the trail is a great way of highlighting these.
“The Teapot Trail is great fun, and it is the perfect opportunity to spend time with your family and friends whilst you try a delicious selection of cakes, snacks, teas and coffees, plus much more!
“We are positive this year’s Teapot Trail is going to be bigger and better. So sit down, relax and enjoy a cup of tea and cake."
