MESSAGE SENT TODAY FROM SIMON CHURCH, EX-SIR JOHN NELTHORPE SCHOOL PUPIL, NOW LIVING IN AUSTRALIA, TO JON TAYLOR, IN BRIGG
Just a quick note to ‘Congratulate’ you on the great initiative to host a memorial game for Gibby
As an ex-Briggensian student (1975-1982) I remember Gibby fondly and will miss our catch ups when returning on holiday to Brigg.
He was a great guy, with a glass half full attitude.
His passion for football means this is such a fitting tribute
Sorry we can’t be there to support the game this year, but we will be raising a glass from down under, here in Perth, Western Australia. As no doubt will some of my fellow Briggensians (copied into this email) from Singapore, Sydney, France, Lincolnshire, etc
Our thoughts are still with Jane (Gibbons) who was in our school year and the rest of Gibb's family. Good Luck with today’s game.
Gone but not forgotten – Briggensian Legend x

Kind Regards
Simon Church (and family)
Perth, Western Australia
