In addition to the on-going gas pipe replacement work in Market Place, Brigg, urgent repairs are now being carried out by an electricity company.
They are taking place outside the Nelthorpe Arms pub, on Bridge Street, as far as the County Bridge.
This has resulted in the pedestrian walkway on one side of the grade two listed structure being closed to those on foot, requiring folk to use the roadway or to cross the road to use the pedestrian walkway on the other side of the bridge.
This is within the pedestrian zone, but we all know that vehicles continue to use it regularly. So watch out when you cross.
We now only require some waterworks to begin to complete a full set of utilities.
Access to the Nelthorpe Arms has been retained - front and side entrances - despite the urgent repairs.
