BRIGG PRIZE-WINNERS COLLECT CAMERA & GAMES CONSOLE

North Lincolnshire Council’s small electrical prize draw at its Household Recycling Centres (HRCs) has come to an end and the winners have been chosen.
From October to December 2014, residents were invited to take part in a prize draw if they recycled their old electrical items at any of the eight HRCs.
People who recycled their broken or worn out small electrical items could ask a HRC attendant for a prize draw ticket to enter the draw, and be in with a chance of winning a fantastic electrical prize. 
There were five prizes up for grabs, the winners being:
First prize – Mr Boorman, from Epworth, who has won a Smart television worth around £600 
Second prize – Ms Mosey, from Brigg, who has won a games console, worth around £400 
Third prize – Mr Lambdon, from Brigg, who has won a camera worth around £200 
Fourth prize – Mr McGovern, from Bottesford, who has won an e-reader worth around £100 
Fifth prize – Mrs Battles, from Scunthorpe, who has won a clock radio worth about £40 
The prizes have been donated by REPIC, the council’s approved contractor for electrical waste. 
The prize draw was to promote the recycling of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) such as televisions, washing machines, toasters, kettles, torches and mobile phones at HRCS.

REPIC has donated some fantastic prizes to help support our campaign to increase the amount of small electrical items being recycled. 
“We are urging residents to carry on with their recycling though and to take their unwanted electrical items to their local Household Recycling Centre.
“We also provide a whole range of other recycling opportunities at our HRCs to enable residents to dispose of their waste. We must ensure that we recycle as much as possible and do our bit for the environment.”
