While I fully applaud the distribution of equipment to teenager groups, I do feel that the allocation to the local Girl Guides does stereotype perceived gender preferences.
ReplyDeleteFor example, why has the GG got the 'nice & gentle' equipment?
In addition & I have said this previously, I do hope the Army Cadets receive an allocation.
They share the same HQ as the Air Cadets, but, to me, always appear in the shadow of the ATC.
Like the ATC, the AFC is a fantastic youth organisation, but doesn't seem to get the recognition and boost that it deserves.
