We've noted groups of ramblers in recent days along St Helen's Road - heading towards the public footpath to Wrawby - and using the River Ancholme towpath, close to the new Lidl store.
Do they take their own liquid refreshment in flasks or bottles?
Do they have a cuppa before setting off or after completing their Brigg walks?
It would be good to think Brigg businesses might benefit from the increased footfall!
.....and not forgetting the proposed Brigg to South Ferriby Cycle/Walk pathway.... In my adventurous younger days, when I ventured into the mountains, fens, Monroes and cloughs of GB...i made sure that I had scran (emergency rations including mars bars and other high energy food) and a drinking straw....Drinks were too heavy to carry, but the straw was simple device to draw water from a fresh mountain stream...it was even possible to poke the straw thro' the frozen surface of an iced-over water course..... I am not recommending that folks should use a straw to drink from the Ancholme...!!!
