A large black tool kit - found "in the road" on December 28 - has been handed in at Brigg police station, the Brigg & Wolds Neighbourhood Policing Team reports on its Twitter feed. If it's yours, call in at the station, on Barnard Avenue.
Unusal find, Nige....but do you remember when the Monument roundabout seemed to become the magnet of lost objects? During a comparatively short period all sorts of odd items were found in the area. Once I spotted a very large shiny adjustable spanner, about 2 feet long, lying in the road...but before I could get to it, an elderly cyclist, dressed in very tight-fitting lycra, retrieved it. He had no pockets and the spanner was too large to simultaneously hold and cycle, so he stuffed it inside his lycra outfit - he cycled off with a very large bulge on his hip, which slowly progressed to his knee......after that, he was too far off to see what happened next....
