SHOP LOCAL IN BRIGG ON SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY


The second Small Business Saturday UK will be held on December 6, 2014.
The Federation of Small Businesses says it is pleased to support the event, as is the Brigg Town Business Partnership.
Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-political, non-commercial campaign which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. 
The day itself takes place on the first shopping Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses. 
The day aims to boost trade for locally owned independent businesses and to encourage us all to think local when out shopping. Local businesses are often the hub of communities and the FSB continues to lobby MP’s and local authorities to create an environment where it is easier for us all to support local traders. Issues such as parking charges and business rates all have a direct impact on business performance.
