BRIGG PRIMARY CYCLE ROUTE PLANS 'STOPPED'

Proposals to improve a right of way between Poppyfield Way and Foxglove Close & the rear of Brigg Primary School have been withdrawn, following calls from residents, the latest edition of the In Touch newsletter reveals.
Coun Rob Waltham, Brigg town councillor and cabinet member for people at North Lincolnshire Council, says: "We have received a number of calls from residents who are concerned that the road may become abused by drivers. We have asked for the application for the cycle route to be withdrawn."
Elsewhere in the Brigg & Wolds Ward newsletter from the local Conservatives, it is suggested work will start later this month on the new river bank path and cycleway from Brigg to South Ferriby,.
Improving the riverside wall near the White Hart pub will begin after the autumn dropping of the river level in the Ancholme.
