Brigg Town Council's PUBLIC QUESTION TIME is often on the agenda after significant items have been discussed and voted upon.
ReplyDeleteShould a member of the public wish to bring to the attention of the Council observations and concerns related to such items, then, unfortunately, they will have little, or any affect on the already discussed and voted upon.
It is possible that a member of the public can have information that has a bearing on an agenda item, but the allocation of the Public Question Time to some time after important items have been discussed, leaves any comment fall upon infertile ground.
Some time ago, Public Question Time was near the start of the Council meeting - this allowed reference/comments/concerns to be directed, if necessary, to forthcoming items for discussion.
Why has it change?
