LAND EARMARKED FOR FUTURE HOUSING IN BRIGG

Perhaps you nipped into the Angel Suite in Brigg last Thursday to view the exhibition about North Lincolnshire Council's Housing and Employment Land Allocations.
Perhaps not. You may have considered this a far from gripping topic. However, what they are consulting the community about is important as it will shape how Brigg develops in the years to come.
They are setting out the areas of land being earmarked for housing development, with associated infrastructure, including new roads.
The staff on hand were very helpful. And of great interest to us was the former coalyard, near the railway station, which looks like being left exactly as it is - rather than being developed.
This borders the so-called Village Green (we hate that surely incorrect term in a town!) recently designated for The Paddock, off Station Road - a green oasis for fauna and wildlife.
Brigg Town Council's Planning and Environment Committee is about to consider the consultation documents and determine any recommendations to be made. This will be done tomorrow (Wednesday, May 14) during a meeting in the Angel Suite Lounge, starting at 8pm.
Members of the public are welcome to attend and listen to the discussions.
Alternatively, you can view these important documents at Brigg Library and the Local Link office. Or take a look through this online link
