BRIGG RIVER FESTIVAL ENTERTAINMENT AND TIMES

The Brigg River Festival - centred on the Ancholme - will be held on Saturday, May 24, offering a fun-packed day for all the family.

• 10am-noon: Rower taster session with Ancholme Rowing Club. Meet at the Boathouse, Manley Gardens, off Bridge Street. Price: Voluntary donation.
• 11am: Riverside walk along the Ancholme. Meet outside Brigg Tourist Information Centre, The Buttercross, Market Place. Price: Free.
• Noon: Canoe polo with Glanford & Scunthorpe Canoe Club. View the action from the County Bridge, Brigg town centre and along the riverbank (Old River Ancholme).
• 2pm & 3.15pm: Go canoeing starter sessions. Meet at the Ancholme River Trust stall in the Market Place - registration throughout the day. Price: Voluntary donation.
