Although we will not be going to the polls in local elections until 2015, Labour has already announced its candidates to contest the Brigg & Wolds Ward on North Lincolnshire Council, which returns three councillors.
Labour's trio is Coun Mike Campion, Coun Donald Campbell - both current members of Brigg Town Council - and Lew Schaffer, of Wrawby.
The Brigg & Wolds members currently representing this area on North Lincolnshire Council are Couns Nigel Sherwood, Carl Sherwood and Rob  Waltham (all Conservatives).
In neighbouring Broughton & Appleby Ward, which includes the Waters Edge estate near Brigg, Labour has selected Chris Pope as one of its candidates. There will be another, to be announced.
