Very nice, Nige.....but I'm aware of a number of recent incidents where police have, allegedly, not responded satisfactorily to victim's concerns. These range from a house break-in where police did not respond quickly as the 999 operator, supposedly, claimed it was not an emergency....to a car being being taken from a garage while a technician was actually working on it. Details were taken over the phone, but, I understand, the police still hadn't visited the garage weeks after the event... Another local person was so concerned about extreme rowdiness and fighting in Brigg that they phoned 911.......the police arrived about an hour later after the disturbance had filtered out. Perhaps some of the police's priorities are skewed in the wrong direction....
