You can apply for a blue badge online here www.gov.uk/apply-blue-badge
Or print off an application form from www.northlincs.gov.uk and take it to your nearest local link office, where a member of staff will be happy to assist you.
If you are renewing your Blue Badge, apply at least six weeks in advance of your current Blue Badge’s expiry date, so you can receive your new Blue Badge in time.
Cabinet Member for People, Coun Rob Waltham (Brigg and Wolds), said: “North Lincolnshire Council residents have entered council buildings wanting to renew their Blue Badge. If they need assistance applying, they need to visit their local link office, where a member of staff will be more than happy to help them.”
You can call the Brigg and District Local Link, just off the Market Place, on 01724 296840.

A bit of a sensitive issue, but can we be assured that Blue Badge holders do not automatically get a permit to access Brigg's pedestrian area.
ReplyDeleteEssentially, the permits are for those drivers who have essential business in the area, but many disabled drivers that I and others I know, have spoken to suggest that they are asked if they want a permit, and, if so, are issued with one without question.
If this is the case, do all Blue Badge holders need a permit to drive thro' the pedestrian zone? If this is the situation, while there is general concern that the number of vehicles using the pedestrian area should be reduced, some scheme, or other, perhaps with good intentions, could be apparently exacerbating the problem of excess traffic in Wrawby Street.
