FROM NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL
Your chance to register for North Lincolnshire Council’s energy switching scheme has been extended to 18 November - giving residents the chance to access cheaper gas and electricity tariffs.
The scheme which assists residents across North Lincolnshire has around 180 people registered so far. You could save up to £100 on your energy bills by registering. So don’t miss out, register today!
Collective switching offers households the opportunity to sign up to a scheme that allows an intermediary to enter an auction with energy companies on their behalf, to secure a discounted energy price. If more people sign up, bigger savings can be made.
Collective switching is non-committal. Meaning if you don’t like the deal negotiated for you, you don’t have to accept it.
The council will be working with iChoosr, the UK’s leading provider of collective switching. You can register on iChoosr on: http://bigcommunityswitch.ichoosr.com/Product/index.rails?actionId=313
The scheme is open to those living in, or just outside, North Lincolnshire. Anyone interested in switching gas and electricity suppliers can register free online until midnight on 18 November.
The council is currently organising the registration sessions across North Lincolnshire for those unable to register online. The remaining sessions aret:
Epworth Library - Wednesday 6 November, from 9am to 12pm.
Brigg Library – Thursday 7 November, from 1pm to 4pm.
Scunthorpe Central Library – Friday 8 November, from 9am to 12pm.
Just bring along a utility bill to register.
Cabinet member for Asset Management, Culture and Housing at North Lincolnshire Council, Coun John Briggs (Crowle) said: “It’s wonderful to see that the collective switching scheme has been extended for another month. It gives North Lincolnshire residents more opportunity to sign up and save money.
“We’ve had around 180 people sign so far, if more people sign up, more savings can be made. “Collective switching takes the hassle out of changing supplier; this scheme could reduce your energy bills. Why don’t you come along to one of the registration sessions to find out more?”
