Brigg Blog is welcoming nominations for the most patched-up road in Brigg and will begin with our own choice - St Helen's Road. True, it's one of our longer thoroughfares. But all along its length you can see patches of road surface that have been filled in. Many are due to repaired potholes but some are down to utility companies - the latest following a burst water main. It's still a decent suburban road to drive down, and we'd all moan about the inconvenience if North Lincolnshire Council, the highway authority, decided to instigate complete resurfacing. But there must come a point where the powers-that-be - surveying any road in the district - decide papering over the cracks is no longer an option and it's time to lay down a new surface.
