WELCOME BACK TO BRIGG TOWN COUNCIL

Sheila Boughey has rejoined Brigg Town Council - bringing the authority back to full strength.
The former councillor returned to the ranks last night. She fills the vacancy that resulted from the retirement of Coun Julian Kidd. Brigg did not need to go to the polls. For as the required public request for a by-election was not forthcoming, the Town Council sought nominations and Sheila was returned by her colleagues.
At last night's July meeting of the council it was confirmed that she had signed her Declaration of Acceptance of Office and completed the necessary Register of Interests.
Having taken her seat at the meeting, she was addressed from the chair by Town Mayor Coun John Kitwood, who smiled and said: "Welcome home!"
She replied: "Thank you very much."
Coun Sheila was later appointed to fill the vacancy on the Planning and Environment Committee.
