55-PLUS STALLS ON BRIGG MARKET

You can buy lots of delicious produce of all kinds on the general market in Brigg (held on Thursdays and Saturdays) and at our hugely popular monthly farmers' market - both administered by North Lincolnshire Council.
But Brigg Blog had to smile last night when the unitary authority's "requests for market consent"  was placed in the public domain, as this document mentioned 55-plus stalls for the general weekly markets.
How long since we last saw that many stalls on a Thursday or Saturday?
The monthly farmers' market "consent request" at 35-44 stalls seemed much more realistic.
This purely procedural matter was noted by town councillors last night with little comment. It came before them as part of a necessary process to keep the markets functioning. And long may they continue!
