FLAGGING UP PUBLIC TRANSPORT PROBLEMS IN BRIGG

Brigg Blog fully expects our Town Council and the North Lincolnshire authority to join forces and flag up shortcomings in local public transport.
A public invitation has been received from the House of Commons Transport Committee "for evidence to be provided of communities that are affected by poor public transport."
At last night's monthly meeting of Brigg Town Council, Town Mayor Coun John Kitwood highlighted the low number of trains calling at Brigg station (trains only on Saturdays - three in each direction).
Coun Mike Campion agreed, suggesting the town would like to have trains reintroduced on other days of the week.
Coun Rob Waltham felt it would be beneficial to put a strong case about the train service in Brigg - a market town.
