DOES BRIGG HAVE THE LONGEST BAR IN LINCS?

Here are a few pix taken at last year's Brigg Beer Festival. We think it was last year's, but you know what it's like - the old memory plays tricks when you've done your best to support the event!

Brigg Beer Festival, organised by the District Lions, opens at 7pm on Thursday night (May 16) at John Reid Transport, off Atherton Way (right next to New Lidl). Th event is also open on Friday night and then all day from 11am on Saturday. There will be a very wide range of ales, lagers and ciders on offer. This is a charity event well worth supporting. The Lions have kindly supplied the draft list of drinks. Or should that be draught list?
If you haven't been to a Brigg Beer Festival before we will offer a word or two of advice. Pay at the door on your way in and buy some tokens that can be exchanged for drinks from what must be the longest bar in Lincs, staffed by volunteer bar staff from the Lions. Chairs and tables are available if you want to sit and chat, but most seem to prefer to stand. Once you've exhausted your tokens, just nip back to the entry desk and buy a few more. They generally have souvenir glasses you can buy.
You are more than welcome to print off the list below and take it with you. But they will give you a list on the night and you can even grade the beers, if you wish. So take a pen or pencil along.
WARNING: This task may prove more difficult if you linger till closing time!
