At Brigg Town Council's monthly meeting in the Angel Suite, Coun Ben Nobbs suggested Tesco did not have a battery re-cycling facility and felt that should be drawn to the company's attention.
"They must sell a lot of batteries," he commented.
He also raised the issue of motorists turning right when existing from Tesco onto Barnard Avenue, where the signs suggest drivers should all turn left.
Coun Rob Waltham, who is a member of the cabinet overseeing North Lincolnshire Council as well being as a town councillor, said a site meeting was planned "involving highways and Tesco."
The problem posed by drivers exiting Tesco has also been discussed by the Brigg Neighbourhood Action Team (NAT), which involves representatives of the police, the council, neighbourhood watch and North Lincolnshire Homes.
More prominent signage is one suggestion for reducing the problem.
