BRIGG DIAMOND JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS: CREDIT WHERE CREDIT'S DUE

The Town Mayor of Brigg, Coun Carl Sherwood, has tabled a motion for consideration at the monthly Brigg Town Council meeting on Monday night, suggesting an official thank-you for those involved in organising the town's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, which included events in the Market Place and at the Recreation Ground, plus a parade, on June 4. The organisation was undertaken by the Diamond Jubilee Committee.
The meeting on Monday, June 25 is in the Angel Suite, from 7.30pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
Earlier, from 6.45pm, there will be a meeting of the Planning and Environment Committee, during which town councillors will consider whether they wish to express any views on an application to change the use of the former Brown & Co auction rooms, off Old Courts Road, to a retail shop (prior to North Lincolnshire planners making a final decision). This meeting is also open to interested members of the public.
