TIME FOR BRIGG TO RENEW SPEND-A-PENNY AGREEMENT

Brigg Town Council pays the North Lincolnshire authority to open the public conveniences in Cary Lane on Sundays and bank holidays.
At next Tuesday's meeting of the property and services committee in the Angel Suite, town councillors will be asked to continue/review the agreement over the toilets.
Brigg Town Council has to pay for the toilets to be opened up specially, or they would be closed to shoppers, passers-by, visitors to the town and people meeting up in Cary Lane to go on the many coach tours that leave on a Sunday.
Also being considered at Tuesday's meeting are agreements between the Town Council and North Lincolnshire Council for summer and winter planting/flower bed displays throughout the town, watering the hanging baskets in the town centre, grass cutting and carrying out maintenance at the Millennium Green, off Elwes Street, and checking and refilling Brigg's salt bins.
