Brigg District Lions' Annual Summer Fest – Sunday June 10, 11am to 4pm
Following the success of their first Summer Fest in June 2011, Brigg District Lions will be holding a second event in Brigg Market Place and Wrawby Street on Sunday, June 10, from 11am to 4pm.
Brigg District Lions are well known in Brigg and the surrounding villages for the charitable and service work they carry out and the organisation of Brigg Christmas market. The Brigg Lions beer festival which was held recently, was a great success. The purpose of the Summer Fest is to continue to celebrate the town of Brigg and to show off what it has to offer.
Craft and charity stalls have been booked and these will be sited in the Market Place and Wrawby Street as well as in the Angel courtyard and the Angel suite. In addition there will be a varied selection of food outlets.
The event is being generously supported by Brigg Town Council which is providing a stage and sound system. Entertainment will be provided throughout the day by many local musicians including school children.
More than thirty charity and craft stalls have already signed up for this event but enquiries would be welcomed from any other stall holders. An invitation is also extended to local groups who wish to promote themselves to come along and join in, either to raise money or generate interest in their organisation.
Anyone wishing to book a stall can do so by contacting Dave Gillman on 01652 651071.
