PAY BRIGG TOWN CENTRE A VISIT TODAY

Brigg is well worth a visit today (Saturday) for many reasons.
1) The new car parking concession means you can park free for two hours in the central Old Courts Road car park, off the A18. Additional use of this North Lincolnshire Council facility in the past month has resulted in less competition for available free spaces near Tesco and Lidl. If you use Old Courts Road, though, don't forget to get a ticket from the meter and display it.
2) From 9am to about 3pm, the monthly Brigg Farmers' Market in the Market Place will offer the chance to buy produce straight from the people who make it and cut out the middle man.
3) The general Saturday market will also be buzzing, with stalls in the Market Place and along Wrawby Street.
4) From 10am there's a charity coffee morning in the Angel Suite, just off the Market Place, in aid of the Town Mayor's Appeal Fund. Pop in for light refreshments through the glass doors leading into the Angel Courtyard. At 11am Brigg Town Council will present awards to those in the town judged to have the best-kept allotments and gardens, following the annual competition. Visitors can also have their say on how they'd like to see Brigg develop in the future by talking to the people currently drawing up the first Brigg Community-Led Plan. Stop for a chat and all will be explained.
5) Have you been down to the new Sankey's Sweet Shop yet? It only opened on Tuesday, in Wrawby Street, and has already seen a steady stream of customers - often queueing out the door!
6) Don't forget Brigg other established town centre shops, many of the specialist variety. Nor our range of pubs and eating establishments.
We hope to see you at some point today, as Brigg Blog will be out and about - notebook and camera in hand.
